National emergency declared after UK’s first red extreme heat warning

The Met Office has issued its first ever red weather warning for extreme heat. Temperatures could hit 40C in southern parts of England on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th July next week, which would also be a UK first.

WBS are taking proactive measures to ensure the wellbeing of our staff and will monitor the situation as it develops. As a result of this, there may be delays in our responses to emails on Monday and Tuesday however our teams will endeavour to respond to any enquiries as soon as possible.
